7/21/06: The Joy of Being Wrong
If you’re
always right, how will you know when you’re wrong?
The discovery
that one is wrong is a great moment indeed, for it is the
moment of awareness, truth and clarity. It is a realization
that at once eradicates ignorance, denial and blame.
People who think
they are always right rob themselves of the pleasures and
benefits of learning, growing, expanding.
By nature, life
is ever evolving and expanding. By refusing to be wrong,
one is left behind in a state of stagnancy while life evolves
and changes and improves around them.
When you open
yourself up to being wrong, you open yourself up to evolve,
to become a better person. You begin to lead a life that
is more flexible, alert and expansive.
You
begin to finally live.
