5/12/06: States of Mind

A positive mind is better than a negative mind.

A quiet mind is better than a positive mind.

Until it becomes a habit, a positive mind takes continuous effort to attain and maintain. It takes consistent awareness and conscientious replacement of each negative thought.

A quiet mind, on the other hand, takes no effort. There is nothing to attain, maintain or replace; it is simply an act of letting go. It is a stripping away of any and all thought, positive, negative or otherwise.

In quietness, you find the answers to any questions and the solutions to any problems, no matter how large or daunting they may seem.

In quietness, you find your Self.
