5/10/07: Ask and Receive

When you ask for what you want, you have a better chance of getting it than if you said nothing at all.

It sounds simple, but most people are afraid to ask for what they want. They don't want to be perceived as too demanding or selfish, or they don't feel worthy enough to receive what they want, let alone ask for it.

But we are always asking, even in silence. We ask the Universe through our hopes, dreams and wishes. The mere act of our yearning for something is a request to the Universe. However, when we add to that request a verbal expression out into the world, we affirm our commitment and intention to receive it.

Expressing your desire out loud not only lets others consciously in on your request, it lets yourself in as well. Your request then moves from a general desire to a conscious intention.
