A real smile is not merely the physical act of curling your lips upward, though if that's all you can muster up, that's good enough for now.

A real smile comes from within and may not even express itself physically, though it is often noticed regardless of the upturned lips. A real smile is like an inside joke; only the people smiling get it but everyone else sees it and wonders what it's all about.

A real smile has no reason for it other than the knowledge that life is good and it is perfect just the way it is. Everyone is perfect just the way they are.

Smiling is a natural result of knowing the inside joke: Life is Good!
