3/7/06: Aha! I caught you!
We are often so quick to judge others, to
emphasize their mistakes and point out their “shortcomings,” or
at least, what we consider their shortcomings.
Instead, make it a point to look for the
good in others. No matter how negative a person appears to
you, there is always positive in them too.
Look for it. Find something decent and good
in each and every person you come into contact with today.
Catch them doing something good. Surprise them by shouting, “Aha!
I caught you!” It will not only brighten your day, it will
brighten theirs too. By acknowledging and affirming someone
else's positive actions, we acknowledge and affirm their
value, as well as ours.
The more you catch people in the act of
doing something good, the more people will do good in your
presence.
