1/24/05: Moody Monday
Today, as you head out to
work with the dread of five long days weighing upon you, remember
that you are in complete control
of your mood. Today can be the beginning of a long, stressful
week, or it can be the beginning of a fulfilling and prosperous
week filled with possibilities and opportunities.
As you sit in traffic, remind yourself of your ability to choose
what type of moment you have. Make up some affirmations if it
helps. Repeat them like mantras. Repeat them until something
within you stirs, even the slightest, barely noticeable movement
within you is enough to change your world.
Here are some of my favorites:
I am invigorated by my work.
I am doing what I love, following my dreams, and living my life
on purpose.
I have a caring, respectful boss who appreciates my work.
I am paid well to do what I love.
Whether
you believe them or not, at least you have replaced your moment
of dread
with a different moment. This is proof enough that you can choose.
