1/16/08: Becoming Teachers of Joy
Wake up every morning looking for a reason to feel good.
Look for reasons to feel good throughout the day.
Go to sleep thinking of the reasons you found to feel good that day.
In a nutshell, practice feeling good.
Before long, you will feel good for no reason at all. And people will wonder what has gotten into you and why you walk around smiling all the time.
And you can say, “Feeling good got into me. I looked for reasons to feel good every day. I practiced feeling good until it became a habit. And now that it’s a habit, I just can’t stop! I feel good all the time! For no reason at all! I just feel good! And it feels sooooo good to feel good!”
And if they tell you they want to join you in feeling good but don’t know how, you have automatically become a teacher of joy. And you’ll say, “First, wake up every morning looking for a reason to feel good, then…”
And soon, they will feel good and others will ask them what has gotten into them and they too will become teachers of joy.
