1/7/05: STOP negativity
When you find yourself in a moment of negativity, realize that
you are creating an opportunity for more negativity to come into
your life, and then stop. Just stop!
Physically stop what you
are doing. Yell "STOP!" if
you must. But just stop. Take charge of your next moment. Use
it to think of something positive. Preferably something that
incites a strong emotion. It does not have to be related to what
you were just negative about. It can be anything that will incite
a positive emotion which will, in turn, incite positive vibrations.
When you see a baby laugh, does it make you laugh too? How does
it make you feel to hold a puppy? What happened last time someone
surprised you with a kind deed?
This is not merely about positive thinking or finding the good
in a perceived bad situation. This is simply about vibrating
at a higher frequency. It is simply about feeling good about
something, anything, immediately after you feel bad. You are
not necessarily replacing a bad thought or feeling, you are simply
using your next moment to have a good thought or feeling.
That is all there is to it. The more you do this, the more moments
you have of feeling good than moments of feeling bad, the more
good moments will come into your life.
